🧰 Technician-B test — official recruitment scheme, not an announced test date
Applicable post codes: 01 to 08 only. Written examination / CBT: 80 objective questions, 90 minutes, +1 for each correct answer and −0.33 for each wrong answer. The published syllabus is curriculum-based in the relevant NCVT trade; the advertisement does not give a detailed chapter-weight allocation, subjectwise number of questions or exact examination date.
After written assessment, 1:5 shortlisting for the skill test with at least 10 candidates is announced. The skill test checks the applicable trade; it is qualifying, not an additional written-score competition. Tie order: written score then academic notified NCVT marks; if these are tied, valid NAC marks take preference over the applicant without a valid NAC score. The notice does not publish an actual written-test date, hall-ticket release or final answer-key date. Each trade should be prepared from its OWN NCVT programme: electronics, fitter, electrician, R&A/C, turner, machinist, motor vehicle mechanic or electroplater (Official PDF pp.2–3, 10–11).
