About this Recruitment
Recruitment-specific overview from the published record.
Export-Import Bank of India is conducting a Special Recruitment Drive for backlog vacancies under Advertisement No. HRM/DM & M/SRD/2026-27/04. The recruitment contains 8 regular officer posts: 6 Deputy Manager (JM-I) vacancies in Banking Operations and 2 Manager (MM-II) vacancies in Internal Audit.
This is not an open-category recruitment. Deputy Manager vacancies are distributed as SC 2, ST 1 and OBC-NCL 3, while both Manager vacancies are ST backlog posts. Horizontal reservation for eligible PwBD candidates applies for Hearing Impairment as stated in the advertisement.
Both posts require a minimum three-year full-time graduation with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. The postgraduate route requires a minimum two-year full-time MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/MMS in Finance, International Business or Foreign Trade with at least 50%. Chartered Accountants may use the CA route instead, provided the professional examination has been passed and ICAI membership is held. Correspondence, part-time, open, distance, external and e-learning courses are not eligible.
Deputy Manager additionally requires at least one year of post-qualification experience in a reputed commercial bank, financial institution or state-level term-lending institution, with exposure to project finance, credit appraisal, term lending, cross-border risk analysis or financing of overseas joint ventures. Manager (Internal Audit) requires at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience in internal audit or credit audit, including audit reporting, compliance and controls, with the role level prescribed in the notification.
Age, academic qualification and experience are reckoned as on 31 August 2026. For Deputy Manager, the maximum age shown in the category table is 33 years for SC/ST and 31 years for OBC-NCL. The two Manager vacancies are ST posts with a maximum age of 35 years. The advertisement also provides 10 years of upper-age relaxation for eligible PwBD candidates and 5 years for eligible Ex-Servicemen.
Deputy Manager carries the JM-I pay scale Rs. 48,480-2,000-62,480-2,340-67,160-2,680-85,920, with current starting annual CTC stated at about Rs. 18 lakh. Manager carries the MM-II pay scale Rs. 64,820-2,340-67,160-2,680-93,960, with current starting annual CTC stated at about Rs. 20 lakh, plus applicable allowances and benefits.
Selection has two scored stages. The written test is a 100-mark subjective Professional Knowledge paper of 2 hours 30 minutes. Part I contains one compulsory question for 40 marks; Part II requires candidates to attempt any 6 of 8 questions for 60 marks. There is no sectional cutoff. Final selection uses 70% weightage for the written examination and 30% for the interview. The written test is tentatively planned for November 2026 at Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Guwahati; interviews are at Mumbai or New Delhi.
Applicants can apply for only one post. If more than one application is submitted, only the latest valid completed registration is retained and fees paid for other registrations are forfeited. Deputy Manager selectees must execute a Rs. 3 lakh personal bond to serve the Bank for at least five years. The advertisement also states that candidates who have defaulted on loan repayment or appear as defaulters in the CIBIL database are not eligible to join.
Online registration and fee payment are open from 15 September to 10 October 2026 through the authorised IBPS registration portal linked from EXIM Bank's recruitment material.
